News!

So I believe in my last entry I mentioned that Nick had had a few interviews? Well, they were all with Taylor, for the same job and they have offered him that job and he started last Tuesday! So yippieskippie! We have a steady income again! Now if I can just find something more permanent too.

Finally some news

Well, finally I have an actual piece of news for the blog. After some discussion Nick and I have decided, what with the rising price of gas and my zero job possibilities on the horizon, that Nick needed to stop out of school for a while and try to hit the job market himself. Hopefully this will not be a permanent stop in his studies and he'll be able to pick them back up, even part time, eventually. But for the immediate future we're both trying to hit the Central Indiana job market and see if one of us can't come up with something. Nick has already had a few interviews, so maybe something will happen soon. And as to my brother's comment on my last post, yes, as far as we're concerned this means no babies in the immediate future, but if Nick had gone back to school this year, that would have meant the same thing, so nothing has really changed. Of course, God can change things at any time, which is why Nick and I try not to plan too far in advance. After all, last year this time we were thinking, two years of school at UIndy and we'd move on. But now... who knows!

Still Alive

Hi! It's me again, your unfaithful blogger. I know I'm really bad about blogging regularly, but honestly I just don't have that much to say. I mean, do you really want a weekly report of "hi, me again, still working at the Kennel and nothing new on the job front..." When I have something exciting to report, I'll try and get on to report it, but other than that, life really isn't that exciting right now. The most exciting part of my day today was when one of the dogs in the kennel managed to get her head through an opening at the bottom of her gate door, prompting me to shout in surprise and go running off to find our maintenance guy to fix the problem. Pretty exciting huh... Other than that, Nick has summer work with a company named Amec and spends most of his time running all over the country scanning over dirt to see if there might be anything of archaeological significance in it, Sunbeam spends most of her time napping in the middle of our bed, with occasional excursions downstairs to sleep in the middle of Mom C's bed, and Poly spends most of his time napping on the couch, with occasional excursions upstairs to try and prompt Sunbeam to chase him (usually with some success, until they both decide to go their separate ways and nap again.) Really not a very exciting life right now.

A subdued entry

Just an update to ask all my xanga friends to pray for me and my family. My maternal Grandfather just passed away and he will be greatly missed. Thanks for your prayers.
